JP McDade

JP McDade discovered at any early his love for starting and running entrepreneurial ventures. He has owned and operated several businesses over the course of the past thirty years. JP received a BBA from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1988 and an MBA from the University of Notre Dame in 1991. While eating lunch in October 2006, longtime friends JP and Tex conceptualized Yums Shoes from drawings Tex had created and developed.

The Yums brand captures the Dirty South hip hop culture and reflects the style in its fashion sneakers and apparel. Born from the vision of legendary Dallas graffiti artist Tex, Yums embodies “Tha Sole of tha Streets.” True to its roots, Yums is available in prominent Hoods (Compton/Los Angeles, Pleasant Grove/Dallas, Harlem/New York) across the country. Yums has a long list of music artists wearing the brand including including Soulja Boy Tellem, Sean Kingston, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Lil’ Wayne, Snoop Dogg, Tum Tum, Michael "5000" Watts of Swishahouse, Bun B, Yung Joc, Dorrough, Plan-N-Skillz, Rick Ross, Mike Epps, and many more.
