Gwen Reyes

Gwen Reyes has been in the film industry since graduating from Sweet Briar College with a BA in Philosophy and Film Studies in 2006. She worked as a production assistant for the inaugural year of the AFI DALLAS International Film Festival in 2007 and then went on to work in their Guest Services and Sponsorship departments in 2008 and 2009. Gwen also worked one season with the Lone Star International Film Festival. In 2010 she became a syndicated television journalist and freelance film critic, fulfilling a life-long dream of watching movies during the middle of the day.

In tandem to her film festival and writing works, Gwen partnered with her mother Sara Reyes to launch Fresh Fiction-- a leading online resource for readers of genre fiction and author marketing--in 2004. She plans, promotes, and produces over 25 reader-centric events annually for national and international authors visiting the DFW area. She also volunteers with the Junior League of Plano, and loves making up stories about her dogs--because they are super awesome.
